NOVA invites applications for qualified individuals to join our Health Information Management teaching faculty. Primary duties include delivering quality instruction across traditional, hybrid, and online formats, advising students, and participating in curriculum development.

The role requires a bachelor’s (or associate’s with HIM coursework), AHIMA certification, and at least two years of EHR experience. Candidates should reside in the DMV area and be able to teach day, evening, and weekend

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the teaching field or associate’s with HIM-related coursework.
• AHIMA RHIA or RHIT certification required.
• 2+ years of full-time (or equivalent) experience with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in traditional, hybrid, and online formats.
• Advise students and participate in committees.
• Develop curriculum and maintain currency in discipline.
