Job summary

City of Dearborn seeks dynamic fitness instructors to lead diverse group classes at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. The ideal candidate has strong background in formats such as Strength and Conditioning, Cycle, Cardio Kickboxing, Barre, Pilates, and Dance.

Must be CPR certified or able to gain certification within 90 days, and hold a primary group exercise or specialty certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR certified or able to gain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must hold a primary group exercise certification or specialty certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must submit to a criminal history check, drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Instructs programs, activities, and events as required.
• Resolves problems and complaints from members and class participants.
• Follows building policies and procedures.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Reports problems as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Willing to sub for other classes on the schedule.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
