Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston’s Oak Square location is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor to lead energizing, safe classes for all fitness levels. You will foster a welcoming, inclusive environment and help members build healthy habits within a supportive community.

The role requires 1 year of experience and a current NCCA-accredited certification; CPR/AED/First Aid are required. MotionVibe attendance software is used for tracking class attendance.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in Group Exercise.
• NCCA accredited certification (ACE, AFFA, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, etc.).
• Current certification required for specific formats (e.g., Yoga, Spin, Les Mills...).
• Experience in health and wellness programming and group instruction.
• Understanding of marketing/events.

Responsibilities

• Lead energizing, safe group classes as directed to provide high-quality experiences.
• Answer questions to support members in health and well-being goals.
• Maintain knowledge of wellness trends to support members.
