Job summary

LaChaney Fit in Maplewood, NJ is seeking energetic fitness professionals to lead group classes and/or one-on-one training. You will create inclusive, engaging sessions, tailor progressions, and ensure safety for all participants across different ability levels.

Ideal candidates hold a nationally accredited certification and have 1–2 years of experience teaching group fitness, with bonus points for experience with beginners and seniors.

Qualifications

• Current nationally accredited fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, AFAA, ACSM) or specialty certification
• At least 1–2 years of experience teaching group fitness and/or personal training
• Experience with beginner and senior populations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes and/or personal training sessions in HIIT & Strength Training, Barre, and Senior Fitness
• Develop structured lesson plans and progressions tailored to class goals and participant levels
• Provide modifications to accommodate all fitness levels and ensure a safe, inclusive environment
• Motivate and inspire clients, fostering a sense of community and commitment
• Assist with studio operations such as client check-ins, equipment upkeep, and promoting class packages
