Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to lead diverse group classes and foster a fun, motivating studio atmosphere. You’ll guide members through music-driven workouts, emphasize proper form, and promote Life Time programs and services.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year instruction experience, CPR/AED certification, and a NASM/ACE/AFAA/AEA style credential. Expect a team-oriented, on-site role with opportunities to coach multiple formats.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year fitness instructor experience required.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Minimum of NASM, ACE, AFAA or AEA group exercise certification.
• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the length of a class.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds.
• Ability to perform exercises for the assigned class.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive relationships with class participants by teaching a variety of challenging and entertaining classes.
• Educate participants on correct form and alternative moves during workouts.
• Attentively listen to members, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes.
• Clean and organize studio space after each class.
• Provide current music for each class that entertains and motivates while ensuring appropriate language.
• Promote Life Time promotions, programs, products, and services; encourage participation in Classes at Life Time.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

1+ year fitness instructor experience

CPR/AED Certification

NASM ACE AFAA or AEA certification
