Qualifications

• Valid California SB 2042 Teaching Credential (or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Graduate Degree or National Board Certification highly desirable.
• Experience teaching in a workshop/ looping environment with diverse student populations.
• Bilingual Spanish highly desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a grade-level and school-wide team.
• Efficient multi-tasking and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and instruct activities to promote academic and emotional growth.
• Use California Common Core Standards to align curriculum with OCS philosophy.
• Assess and monitor student achievement and growth using school tools.
• Modify teaching practices based on assessments and student needs.
• Develop and monitor individualized learning plans.
• Collaborate with Inclusion Specialist and Principal as needed.
• Communicate with parents regularly via multiple channels.
• Attend and participate in community events and school activities.
• Maintain professional standards and meet deadlines consistently.
• Support organizational needs and model ethical behavior.
