Job summary

Peeples Industries in Savannah, GA, is seeking a Forklift Operator/Material Handler to support our fast-paced warehouse. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, move and stage goods, and ensure accurate loading and unloading while following safety procedures.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift experience, a valid certification or the ability to obtain one, and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of forklift operating experience and/or using warehouse equipment.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug checks.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations using forklifts and related equipment.
• Operate forklifts, roll clamp trucks, and other material handling gear safely and efficiently.
• Inspect equipment daily and report deficiencies; follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist with inventory and housekeeping; maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Prepare products for shipment and ensure accurate loading/unloading.
