Job summary

United Counseling Service in Vermont is seeking a Floater Teacher Assistant/Kitchen Assistant to support daily classroom operations, meal preparation, and child care under the supervision of teachers. This full-time role offers opportunities for licensure supervision and professional development within a supportive team.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a valid driver’s license; CDA/AA in Early Childhood Education is preferred or in progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent, and agrees to complete one early childhood or related course within the first year of employment.
• Preferred: CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education or enrolled in a program leading to CDA or AA within 2 years of employment start date.
• LICENSE REQUIRED: Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities by providing breaks and coverage for meetings.
• Assist with meal preparation, kitchen duties, and CACFP compliance.
• Maintain classroom and kitchen cleanliness and safety.
• Document observations and assist with child records.
• Supervise children during activities and support teachers.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

CDA or AA in Early Childhood Education (preferred / in progress)
