Plan, design, and teach group exercise classes for the City of Aurora’s recreation division, coordinating with staff to deliver safe, engaging sessions that meet diverse fitness levels and goals.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience teaching fitness classes or personal training.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor certification from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Choreograph and plan exercise classes.
• Develop programs for varied levels in small or large groups.
• Maintain effective communication with participants during classes.
• Set up equipment and music prior to class and clean up after.
• Keep up with current fitness trends and integrate them into classes.
• Ensure safety and proper use of fitness equipment; respond to emergencies as needed.
