Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a Fitness Instructor to develop and lead diverse fitness classes, train members on equipment safety, and assist during class workouts to encourage lifelong health. This role reports to the Spa & Fitness Director.

The position requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, with certifications in First Aid/CPR and group instruction. Prior experience and strong customer service are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience and class instruction experience preferred.
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED certification, and other safety certifications as required by the Club.
• Group Certification and experience with 55+ audience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate equipment use for exercise training.
• Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
• Ability to lead a class and manage movements simultaneously.
• Maintain knowledge of exercise, health and fitness trends.
• Excellent communication and customer service to members and guests.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; limited travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop fitness classes for different levels and lead sessions.
• Provide training on safe use of exercise equipment.
• Assist members during class workouts to promote health and fitness.
• Model BlueStar standards and adhere to facility policies.
• Promote additional facility services and programs to guests.
• Maintain equipment and clean/sanitize before/after sessions.
• Coordinate with Spa & Fitness Director and participate in events.
