Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must hold ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/GYN.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in General sonography.
• Teaching experience in a CAAHEP accredited program preferred.
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and interact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver laboratory instruction in-person in the General Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Teach introductory scanning techniques in abdominal and gynecologic imaging protocols.
• Provide feedback to students on protocols and quizzes and exams.
• Give instructions on the use of the OB/GYN simulator.
• Work as a team with colleagues to instruct students and manage lab activities.
• Proctor classes, quizzes, and exams.
• Open lab sessions to assist students who drop in.
• Provide an approved syllabus with objectives, outcomes and evaluation criteria.
• Provide engaging assignments that show real-world applications of concepts.
• Post syllabus and materials on the LMS and communicate with students.
• Advise and assist students through office hours or appointments by various means.
• Provide service including mentoring, course development, and assessment.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
