Job summary

ASM Global-SMG is seeking a dedicated operational staff member in Mesilla Park, New Mexico. This role involves set-up and tear-down for events, as well as general maintenance of the facility. Candidates must be capable of working flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities include ensuring facility cleanliness, overseeing equipment use, and participating in safety operations. Applicants should have experience in event management, be physically capable of handling heavy items, and possess strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand layouts and measure floors accurately.
• Experience in event set-up, teardown, and general maintenance activities.
• Proficiency in operating equipment such as extractor machines and scissor lifts.
• Strong awareness of facility policies and safety procedures.
• Good communication and training abilities for new hires or subcontracted services.
• Capacity to work extended, irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to perform assemblies and moving heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Set up and change over events including moving and arranging items.
• Perform general cleaning of the facility.
• Manage the event conversion process including setting and tearing down equipment.
• Oversee daily operations such as loading and unloading deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety procedures.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks promptly.
• Work irregular hours including nights and weekends as required.
