Job summary

Restaurant Associates is hiring a full-time Catering Captain at Harvard Conference Center in Boston, MA. You will coordinate catering staff schedules, ensure timely service, and assist with food preparation under the Catering Director.

May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to events. The role requires previous banquet catering experience, a valid driver's license (where required), and the ability to obtain a food handler’s permit or alcohol server’s permit as dictated by state law.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet catering experience is required.
• Driver's license may be required; food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
• May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure functions are delivered, served and cleared on time.
• Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under supervision.
• Instructs staff on work expectations for catered events and ensures proper setup of rooms.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Maintains sanitation and proper presentation and serving temperatures per HACCP standards.
