Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival with head-to-toe evaluation and psychosocial assessment.
• Triage patients to determine urgency and need for care.
• Provide emergency care to patients across all ages per protocols.
• Administer medications accurately following the five rights.
• Supervise ER Technicians and other staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Communicate procedures and plans with patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians on care plans and treatment.
• Maintain infection control standards and safe environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
