Job summary

Sierra College is seeking three full-time English instructors to join the Rocklin campus starting January 2027. You will develop curricula, deliver lectures and laboratory instruction, and evaluate student performance while coordinating with part-time instructors and college committees.

Qualifications include a Master’s in English or a related field; a Bachelor’s with a Master’s in linguistics/TESL/education is also acceptable, or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate curriculum to meet student needs and budget constraints.
• Prepare lectures and laboratory activities; coordinate with library and bookstore.
• Present lectures clearly, use visuals, and assign coursework following MLA standards.
• Evaluate student performance through quizzes, tests, and assignments; advise students.
• Participate in shared governance and service on department and campus committees.
• Supervise and support part-time instructors and ancillary student services.
