Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP (GT) is seeking a junior Associate for its Energy Project Finance & Development Practice. This location-flexible, full-time role offers exposure to energy project development, M&A and project finance transactions across the U.S., with clients ranging from sponsors to developers and lenders.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of transactional experience, a state bar admission, and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in energy, project finance, corporate, or related transactional practice.
• Experience supporting energy project development, M&A, or project finance transactions.
• Interest in offtake and interconnection agreements; familiarity with energy regulation and permitting.
• Collaborative and detail-oriented; eager to develop transactional skills.
• Admission to at least one state bar is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting and review of primary and ancillary transaction documents—such as purchase and sale agreements, investment agreements (including tax equity), financing agreements, and joint venture agreements—under supervision.
• Support due diligence, transaction management, and coordination with clients and internal specialist teams.
• Prepare client communications and work product.
• Work with increasing responsibility and align with firm hours in a fast-paced practice.
