Job summary

Columbia Heights Public Schools is hiring ENCORE Teachers for the North Park School for Innovation to lead after-school enrichment. ENCORE runs during the 2026-2027 school year with the week of Oct 21, 2026 to Jan 28, 2027 for semester 1 and Feb 24, 2027 to May 13, 2027 for semester 2. Internal posting dates begin 9/8/26.

Pay rate is $40.00/hr and duties include planning with academic components. Afterschool hours are 2:30-4:00 with a 4:00-4:30 cleanup/transition, and before-school time

Responsibilities

Teachers respond to requests by ENCORE Leadership for class proposals.
Teachers are required to take attendance and submit timesheets on time.
Teachers must coordinate pickup of students at the ENCORE site and manage snack periods.
Returning teachers may teach up to two classes per semester and may serve as Site Facilitator on non-teacher days.
