Telecare in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Psychiatric Emergency Clinician I for full-time, on-site work. Shifts include AM/PM/NOC with a starting wage range of $34.43–$42.52 per hour, with geographic differentials applied.

Candidates must have a Master’s in Social Work or Psychology and 2 years of behavioral health experience. Requirements include CPR, CPI and First Aid within 60 days, ACSW/IMFT eligibility, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Psychiatric Emergency Clinician I independently conducts child, youth, and adult 5585/5150 evaluations and releases per 5585/5150 regulations. The Psychiatric Emergency Clinician II is the primary clinician for engaging and educating members served, families, and significant others in crisis stabilization, treatment, level of care determination, and mental health recovery. Serves as a liaison to community programs and develops strategic partnerships to enhance aftercare plans of members served and their families.

Shifts Available:

(2) Full-Time | AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Days: Sunday - Thursday

(2) Full-Time | PM | Shifts: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Days: Sunday - Thursday

(2) Full-Time | NOC | Shifts: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Days: Sunday – Thursday

Expected starting wage range is $34.43 - $42.52. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
• Two (2) years of direct service experience in a behavioral health setting
• Waived Clinician as ACSW or IMFT and completion of all prelicensure classes
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply
• Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.(weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)
