Qualifications

• Idaho teaching certificate with an endorsement such as Standard Elementary, Early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Ed Blended (K-3), or Generalist Endorsement (K-12).
• Strong background in teaching methods and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Proven knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods.
• Strong background in curriculum and Idaho Core Standards.
• Strong background in integrating technology with instruction.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Able to work under deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for assigned classes.
• Design lessons with appropriate difficulty and sequential content.
• Use varied instructional techniques and media.
• Instruct classes at designated times and locations.
• Identify pupil needs and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Analyze student data to adjust activities.
• Follow IEP modifications and accommodations.
• Implement Idaho Core Standards and district goals in plans and assessments.
• Create assignments/tests that evaluate progress and critical thinking.
• Prepare students for district/state/federal testing.
• Display command of subject matter and manage class time effectively.
• Encourage student potential and establish classroom rules.
• Be accessible to students/parents outside instructional hours.
