Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or human services related field required or preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician Course completion certificate required.
• Provide proof of 1,040 hours working with children during application or resume.
• Experience as an aide or teacher preferred.
• Lifting and mobility requirements as listed.
• Knowledge of child growth and disabilities education practices.
• Ability to work with students with emotional, physical, and mental disabilities.
• Proficient in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers and directors of special services to meet IEP goals.
• Provide individual, small group, or whole group instruction.
• Maintain high academic standards and expectations.
• Deliver tutorials and reinforce material as prescribed by certified staff.
• Give immediate feedback and monitor student progress.
• Support with translating classroom rules and behavior expectations.
• Assist with large group activities and testing as assigned.
• Keep accurate student records and confidentiality.
