Qualifications

• Certification/License: NY State Certification as an Elementary Teacher
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related discipline
• Masters degree in related area preferred

Responsibilities

• Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to instruction.
• Instructs students in core subjects and civics as required by district policy.
• Ensures student conduct conforms with school standards and district policies.
• Coordinates with grade-level staff to evaluate and assess curriculum.
• Supervises students during school day activities and on school transportation.
• Administers standardized tests in accordance with district programs.
