Qualifications

• Valid license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Visual Arts, Pre K - 8
• Strong district lens regarding EL, curriculum, and equity
• Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing standards-based lesson planning with clear objectives
• Providing appropriate and effective learning experiences for students from diverse backgrounds
• Using a variety of instructional strategies suitable for diverse learners
• Differentiating instruction to meet all students' needs
• Using formal and informal assessments to measure progress and adjust instruction
• Communicating with students, parents, and others about progress
• Collaborating with teachers to plan instruction for a diverse student population
• Modeling effective teaching strategies and participating in professional development
