Job summary

Lynn Public Schools is seeking an Elementary General Music Teacher to join the itinerant program for the 26/27 school year. The teacher will plan standards-based lessons, assess student progress, and provide regular feedback to learners, using data to direct instruction.

Collaboration with staff and opportunities to lead school performances are essential. The role emphasizes inclusive instruction, a growth mindset, and willingness to accompany ensembles on piano or develop this skill.

Qualifications

• Plan standards-based lessons with clear objectives and alignment to MA Curriculum Frameworks.
• Use formal and informal assessments to track progress and guide instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners including SPED and English Learners.
• Provide timely feedback to students on progress toward learning goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, lesson and assessment design and integrate technology into lessons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement standards-based music lessons.

• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners and provide targeted supports.
• Rehearse with students and lead performances for the school community.
