Job summary

Windham School District is seeking an Itinerant Art Teacher to provide a comprehensive visual arts program at Windham Center and Windham Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.

The ideal candidate will hold NH DOE certification in Visual Art Education or be eligible for certification, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Responsibilities include designing standards-aligned curricula, integrating traditional and digital media, and collaborating with colleagues to support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• NH DOE certified in Visual Art Education or ability to be certified.
• Bachelor degree preferred for this itinerant art teaching role.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required for employment in the district.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a standards-aligned visual arts curriculum for middle-level learners.
• Establish, communicate, and assess clear learning objectives to promote artistic growth and achievement.
• Develop engaging lessons across drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art; integrate technology.
• Foster an inclusive classroom and support diverse learners with differentiated instruction.
• Collaborate with Fine Arts and cross-disciplinary teams to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Participate in district initiatives and professional development to support instructional improvement.

Education
