Job summary

Jet Industries in Salem, OR seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our nationwide contractor team. You will prepare bid proposals, verify material needs, and resolve design issues to keep estimating on schedule.

Work closely with the GM and project team to evaluate costs and finalize bids for electrical scopes. Ideal candidates have strong experience in estimating, ability to read blueprints, and familiarity with cost software and trade pricing.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating and quantity take-offs.
• Ability to work autonomously and with trades to develop complete cost estimates.
• Develop details and metrics associated with costing.
• Cost estimates for electrical scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Create bid proposals for projects.
• Verify material needs and compliance with specs.
• Resolve design issues and push for resolutions to keep estimation moving.
• Assist GM in negotiating project bids and estimating costs.
• Assist GM in negotiating materials and equipment purchases.
• Call for bid results and check material pricing.
• Review contracts to ensure the scope matches the bid.
• Attend kickoff/turnover meetings with PM, GM, and Foremen.
• Evaluate projections with GM/PM during the project.
• Periodically review projects for quality and client satisfaction.
