Job summary

Hamilton Township School District Mercer County is seeking an English Language Arts leave replacement teacher for middle school (grades 6-8). The position covers for employees on a leave of absence, with the start anticipated in early January 2027 and a duration that may vary.

Qualifications

Valid NJ Instructional Certificate for English Language Arts Grades 5-8.
Experience with anthology and novel-based instruction.
Proficient at modeling/teaching/assessing written expression.
Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for ELA.
Knowledge of NJ language arts test specs (NJSLA).
Ability to integrate technology to enhance instruction.
Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus).
Knowledge of best practices in middle level education.
Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members.
Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as English Language Arts teacher for grades 6-8.
