Job summary
About Play seeks an Early Interventionist to serve Columbia, Lexington, Newberry, Kershaw, and Fairfield counties in South Carolina. You will provide family-centered early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities, visiting homes, daycares, or natural environments.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of experience with children 0–6; on-the-job training is available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or related field.
- Plus 1 year of documented experience working with children birth to six years old.
- Prior early interventionist experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Perform Family Training with the caregiver and child in their home, daycare, or natural environment setting.
- Provide training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
- Monitor the progress of the child and family.
