Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an Early Intervention Service Coordinator for birth to three in the Cape Fear CDSA, serving New Hanover County. You will collaborate with families and providers to develop IFSPs and coordinate services across disciplines.

Primary duties include home visits, transition planning, and monitoring of early intervention services while ensuring IDEA and state policy compliance. Travel within the CDSA catchment is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education, Psychology from an accredited institution and two years of professional experience serving the population.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services with three years of professional experience serving the population.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional IFSPs with families and providers.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to determine supports.
• Conduct home visits to families.
• Coordinate and facilitate early intervention services and transitions.
• Assist with authorization and monitoring of services.
