Job summary

BASIS Ed in the Austin Metro area is seeking an Early Education Teacher to join our bright, passionate team. The position offers a competitive benefits package and a nationally ranked program designed to prepare students to high international standards.

Minimum qualifications include eligibility to work in Texas Public Schools, a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related subject, and TEA fingerprint clearance. Preferred: 3+ years as an elementary educator and a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related subject.
• Ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.
• Preferred: a minimum of 3 years of experience as an elementary educator.
• Master’s degree in Education or related subject.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating students’ academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records, and preparing progress reports.
• Communicating with parents via email, conferences, and other means to discuss student progress.
• Identifying student needs and cooperating with the Subject Experts or other professional staff in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Providing differentiated instruction and executing IEPs and 504 Plans with fidelity.
• Substitute/duty coverage as needed.
• Supervise students during classroom transitions throughout the day.
• Occasionally represent BASIS Ed Texas at designated school wide community events outside of typical school hours.
