Job summary

Fremont RE-2 School District in Colorado is seeking a Substitute Early Childhood Assistant to provide temporary classroom support for preschool and early childhood programs. You will assist teachers, supervise students, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.

This on-call, as-needed role offers exposure to diverse classrooms and requires the ability to follow directions, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written language.
• Ability to supervise and interact appropriately with young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with daily instructional activities and classroom routines.
• Supervise students in classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, restrooms, and during transitions.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for young children.
• Provide individual or small-group support as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of materials and learning centers.
• Support social, emotional, and behavioral development using appropriate strategies.
• Assist with basic student needs including dressing, eating, and toileting when needed.
• Follow district safety procedures and confidentiality policies.
