Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to support efficient merchandise flow in our distribution center. You will move items by hand or forklift, verify orders, and ensure accurate receiving and shipping.

The role requires basic math, RF scanner usage, and the ability to operate motorized equipment. A high school diploma is preferred, with experience in automated distribution centers or WMS systems viewed favorably. Expect a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, and respond to inquiries.
• Basic math concepts required for counts, checks and data entry.
• Ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) Unit for data capture.
• Willingness to learn basic operations of motorized equipment used in movement of merchandise.
• Must maintain annual certification requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Move incoming/outgoing merchandise through the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift.
• Verify and audit received merchandise against orders; data entry into the data terminal.
• Identify, label, and palletize merchandise for storage and shipment.
• Replenish pick areas based on reports and requests for merchandise.
• Fill orders by selecting items and moving them to the conveyor system.
• Load outgoing merchandise into trailers and transport vehicles.
• Report damages or vendor issues to supervisor and resolve discrepancies.
• Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards; perform related duties as assigned.
