Job summary

Genuine Parts Company in Stevens Point, WI seeks a warehouse clerk to support inbound and outbound freight, core processing, returns, and quality control. You will coordinate shipments, verify counts against packing lists, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

The role includes UPS shipments, RF scanning, and operation of warehouse equipment. Key duties include scheduling inbound/outbound freight, maintaining dock security, and assisting with ASN verifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds and push/pull loads up to 300 pounds using mechanical aids.
• Physical ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, and reach, including ladders when required.
• Good judgment and strong decision-making skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience in shipping or receiving is preferred.
• Experience with computers and RF scanning equipment.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
• Capable and willing to operate warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inbound: Schedule inbound freight and verify counts with POs; collect documentation and ASN verifications.
• Outbound: Schedule outbound freight and ensure proper labels; maintain dock security and shipping docs.
• UPS Shipments: Print shipping labels and securely overpack products.
• Core Processing: Unload, stage, and process core returns and paperwork.
• Returns: Process returns and restock parts in designated areas.
• RGN: Prepare and ship labor claims and recall merchandise; handle vendor inquiries on warranties and defects.
• Quality Control: Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Safety, housekeeping, and security: Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety programs.
• Decision Making: Proactively identify and resolve problems during daily warehouse operations.
• Meet or exceed production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
