Job summary

WYFF 4 in Greenville, SC is seeking a Digital Content Editor to craft, edit and publish breaking and daily news for our website, mobile apps and social channels. You will collaborate with reporters, editors and managers to post quickly and promote content across all platforms.

The role requires non-linear editing experience (Adobe Premiere), basic Photoshop and strong editorial judgment to excel under tight deadlines in a 24-hour news cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent).
• News and editorial judgment.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and video editing.
• Experience with social media best practices.

Responsibilities

• Write/edit and publish breaking news, daily news, sports, weather, and feature stories for the station's website, mobile and social media pages.
• Work with Reporters and Assignment Editors to ensure content is posted quickly.
• Work with Producers, Assignment Editors and Managers to ensure cross promotion of content across all platforms.
• Manage LIVE streams of newscasts and breaking news.
• Contribute ideas to help grow the station's digital platforms.
