Job summary

Hearst Television's WYFF 4 in Greenville, SC seeks a Digital Content Editor to craft and publish stories for our website, mobile apps, and social channels. You will edit content under tight deadlines and tell compelling stories that engage diverse viewers.

You'll work closely with reporters, editors, and producers to ensure timely posting and cross-promotion across platforms, including managing live streams and contributing ideas for platform growth.

Qualifications

• Prior digital editing experience.
• Proficient with non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent).
• Strong news and editorial judgment.
• Excellent AP writing skills.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and video editing.

Responsibilities

• Write/edit and publish breaking news, daily news, sports, weather, and feature stories for the station's website, mobile and social pages.
• Write compelling headlines.
• Collaborate with Reporters and Assignment Editors to post content quickly.
• Coordinate with Producers, Assignment Editors and Managers to promote content across platforms.
• Manage LIVE streams of newscasts and breaking news.
• Contribute ideas to grow the station's digital platforms.
