Job summary

Moraine Valley Community College’s Community and Continuing Education program is seeking a Dance Instructor to teach non-credit classes for students of varying ages and skill levels. Courses may include ballet, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, Latin, contemporary, line dancing, or specialty workshops.

The instructor will create an inclusive and engaging learning environment while promoting proper technique and movement, with evening and weekend classes based on enrollment and program needs.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in dance performance, choreography, or instruction.
• Previous teaching or instructional experience required.
• Ability to teach students with diverse experience levels.
• Certification or specialized training in a dance discipline is preferred but not required.
• Experience in the classroom or class setting.
• Ability to teach diverse learners in the topic.
• Demonstrate a shared value in the college’s core mission and vision.
