Job summary

Aspire Dance CNY, a warm and organized studio in Manlius, NY, seeks an experienced in-studio Dance Instructor to lead classes for ages 18 months through teens. You will create a safe, welcoming environment, teach several dance styles, and follow a studio curriculum with strong focus on progress and outcomes.

Ideal candidates have teaching experience across multiple styles, clear communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Teaching experience in dance across multiple styles including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and/or musical theatre.
Willingness to learn new techniques and concepts with minimal supervision.
Able to teach regular schedules; commitment September through June.
Availability on weeknights, Saturday mornings, and/or after-school hours.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and teach dance classes, including setup and studio breakdown.
Learn, implement and adhere to Aspire Dance CNY's curriculum and standards.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback on performance and outcomes.
Assess student abilities while maintaining appropriate classroom discipline.
Maintain a clean, organized studio space and provide individualized instruction.
Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Adhere to safety regulations and Aspire Brand values.
