ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking a Daily Substitute Teacher for Parma Academy School in Parma, Ohio to bring lessons to life and nurture student learning in EK-3rd grade. You will foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture and integrate technology to support engagement.

Applicants must hold an active Ohio teaching license and a bachelor’s degree in education or related field; strong communication skills and urban-school experience are valued. Daily pay is $130 per day.

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on frequent observations and feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to supervise students of various ages in different settings.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in an urban education environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, adjusting as needed during the year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students' needs.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development.
• Apply research-based best practices in planning and instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Use school curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology into daily classroom practice.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
