Sanchez Law Firm, a busy Houston-based consumer law and civil litigation practice, seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join the Houston office on a full-time, in-office basis. The ideal candidate has at least three years of litigation experience, a strong working knowledge of consumer law, and the ability to manage cases from pre-suit through trial and post-judgment proceedings.

Applicants must hold a J.D.

Qualifications

• Must have a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas law license in good standing required.
• Minimum three years of litigation experience required.
• Knowledge of consumer law and civil litigation essential.
• Ability to draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from pre-suit through trial, post-judgment, and appeals.
• Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare case evaluations and litigation strategies.
• Respond to written discovery and take/defend depositions.
• Attend mediations and hearings; prepare for trial and trial presence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs/memoranda as needed.
• Evaluate evidence and develop case strategy; negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Maintain client communications and manage deadlines with the firm team.
