Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality is seeking a Cocktail Server to deliver customized beverage and food service with energy and teamwork. You will greet guests, suggest menu items, and ensure each guest has a great experience while maintaining bar operations and cleanliness.

The role requires prior beverage/food outlet experience, server experience, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Knowledge of alcohol service and food safety is valued.

Qualifications

• Two to three years’ minimum experience in a beverage/food outlet.
• One to two years’ experience as a server.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, weekends, and holidays.
• The legal ability to serve alcohol in the State/Province.
• Knowledge of state and local guidelines regarding service of alcohol.
• Knowledge of drink preparation.
• Computational skills to process guest payments.
• Course work or certification/education in restaurant or business field are highly desired.
• Food safety certification and/or alcohol service training recommended.
• The ability to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and make them feel valued.
• Be knowledgeable about the menu and offer suggestions.
• Service guests’ orders per brand standards.
• Create a high energy bar experience.
• Maintain supplies of clean dishware.
• Carry food to/from the kitchen and serve dishes.
• Buss and run dishes through the dishwasher.
• Keep counters and equipment clean.
• Clean spills, broken items, and remove trash.
• Mop or vacuum floors as needed.
• Refill beverages, ice, and condiments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
