Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• AED certificate for PE teachers where applicable.
• Able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect district curriculum and accommodate individual student differences.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials aligned with TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to adapt curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work and supervise instructional aides as needed.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement; sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned.
