Job summary

Cityscape Schools is seeking an experienced Teacher to create a flexible instructional program and a classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth. You will establish rapport with students, motivate them, and ensure curricula are implemented to maximize learning experiences aligned with TEKS.

The role requires competency in core subjects and collaboration with staff to support individual education plans and student development. A Texas teaching credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience preferred.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate preferred; or demonstrated competency in core subjects.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in citizenship, character development and basic subject matter as specified by school policy.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional material and provides individualized and small group instruction.
• Ensures lesson plans show modifications for differences in student learning styles; uses data to tailor activities.
• Collaborates with special education and ESL teachers on IEPs to meet modifications.
• Manages classroom environment using effective techniques to foster safety and learning.
• Evaluates pupil growth; maintains records and prepares progress reports.
