Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher across multiple schools in the district. You will follow lesson plans and school procedures to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.

The role requires successful background clearance and a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with the ability to travel to various Granite School District locations through the Frontline/AESOP system.

Qualifications

• Background check must be completed and cleared.
• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to travel to various Granite School District schools as assigned through Frontline/AESOP.
• Substitute teachers must work a minimum of three days per month to remain active.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and materials provided by the regular teacher.
• Provide meaningful instruction and classroom support to students.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, assemblies, recess, and other areas.
• Report student injuries, illness, or serious discipline concerns to administration.
• Remain engaged with students by monitoring, assisting, and instructing throughout the day.
• Comply with Granite School District and school procedures, policies, and schedules.
• Check in with the school office on arrival and stay for the full workday, including ten minutes after dismissal.
• Do not use personal devices during instructional time.
