Job summary

Countryside Montessori Charter School in Florida seeks a substitute teacher to provide instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver instructional plans, maintain classroom routines, and support student safety and behavior in line with school policies.

The role involves preparing, delivering, and adapting lessons, supervising students through the day, and reporting daily activities to the Head of School.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from an accredited institution OR an Associate degree / minimum of 60 college credits with relevant classroom experience
• All employees must satisfactorily complete any required trainings
• All employees must meet all mandated federal and state health requirements

Responsibilities

• Review instructional plans with Head of School, designee, and/or designated teacher
• Teach and implement the lessons, assignments, and instructional activities prepared by the absent teacher
• Consult with the Head of School or designee before initiating any lesson or procedure not specified in the plans
• Maintain established routines, expectations, and environment of the school and classrooms
• Monitor, supervise, and support students in the classroom and on campus throughout the day
• Maintain a student-centered learning environment that is safe, organized, and respectful

Education
