Job summary

ENOS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Springfield, IL is seeking a Paraprofessional Floater to support instructional staff and students. The position involves implementing instructional and behavioral plans, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a safe classroom environment.

Starting immediately, 7 hours per day and 191 days per year, with CPI course completion required. Salary is $23.51 per hour, with duties aligned to CPI-trained paraprofessional responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have Educator Licensure with Stipulation or valid Illinois Teaching Licensure or 90-day sub licensure.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform all job-related functions.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or written directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing instructional and behavioral programs for students.
• Support students in academic, functional, and social activities under supervision.
• Prepare, organize, and adapt instructional materials and visual supports.
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and use positive supports.
• Monitor behavior and assist in developing communication and self-regulation skills.
• Maintain documentation of behavioral data and student progress.
• Assist students with activities of daily living and mobility needs as required.
• Ensure a safe, clean, supportive environment for all students.
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and on/off the bus.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to implement IEP goals.
