Job summary

Henry County Schools seeks a Classroom Teacher to join our School-Level division. You will plan, deliver, and assess lessons, create engaging activities, and use technology to differentiate instruction while maintaining accurate records of student progress.

You must hold or be eligible for a Georgia Educator Certificate, work well with students, families, staff, and the community, and demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and reliable, on-site presence.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator Certificate or meet the district's professional qualifications.
• Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
• Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
• Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
• Must perform tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, and sitting.
• Must be able to supervise students, particularly during emergencies.
• Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that are in accordance with established guidelines.
• Instruct and monitor students.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Manage student behavior inside and outside the classroom according to established guidelines.
• Provide appropriate and meaningful feedback on student work.
• Observe and assess student performance and development.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and development.
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, assessments, and assignments.
• Participate in district, school, department, and parent meetings.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
