Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. seeks enthusiastic, reliable instructors to join our after-school enrichment program in Kennesaw, GA. Lead fun, interactive chess classes for elementary students using our structured curriculum and maintain a positive classroom environment.

You’ll teach 1–5 classes per week, typically 2:00 PM–5:00 PM, with mileage reimbursement for travel between sites. Full training provided; resume required; relocation not offered. Join a supportive team and help children discover chess joy.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar).
• Ability to lead a class independently and create interactive, friendly, and fun sessions.
• Professional, positive, kid-friendly demeanor.
• Genuine desire to be a positive role model and promote good sportsmanship.
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals; explain piece movement, basic strategy, and simple tactics in age-appropriate way.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students.
• Use structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals and promote good sportsmanship.
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Follow school safety protocols and supervise during arrival, dismissal, and in-class activities.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to engage students.
