Tsunami Catering in the Tri-Cities area is seeking a dependable Production Prep Cook to support high-quality catering events. You will focus on ingredient preparation, organization, and teamwork to ensure recipes are executed efficiently and the kitchen stays orderly.

The role requires flexibility for changing production priorities and week-of or short-notice requests. Part-time schedule with approximately 20 hours per week, with varying shifts to match client events.

Qualifications

• Previous food prep, kitchen, restaurant, catering, or related experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to follow recipes, prep lists, and written instructions accurately.
• Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing production schedules and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients according to established recipes and prep lists
• Portion ingredients and package food products according to company standards
• Assist with basic food preparation alongside the Catering Production Cook
• Label, date, rotate, and properly store food products
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
• Wash and put away dishes, utensils, and equipment while maintaining sanitation standards
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries and catering equipment
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures at all times
