Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a catering bartender to support events at the Dallas Zoo and other venues in the Dallas area. You will provide guest service, prepare and serve beverages, and help manage bar setup, execution, and teardown to ensure a memorable guest experience.

The role requires knowledge of drinks, strong communication, and the ability to work varied hours, including nights and weekends. SSA Group emphasizes teamwork, safety, and high standards in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate to our client, General Manager and HQ personnel.
• Excelled problem solving/decision making skills and organized work style.
• Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate all equipment necessary to perform job duties.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes (up to 35lbs).
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
• Oversee quality, product levels and inventory of product.
• Fulfill guest’s needs quickly and efficiently and resolve complaints effectively.
• Meet expectations of proper setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of their bar during events.
• Execute duties for overall productivity of banquet events as assigned.
• Express knowledge of alcoholic drinks and bartending techniques with guest service in mind.
• Maintain a safe environment by serving guests responsibly.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards client, guests, and staff.
• Communicate clearly with leaders for overall success.
• Display a sense of urgency at all times.
• Uphold professional appearance and manners.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
