Job summary

Hobey’s Casino is seeking a Slot Floor Person to enhance the gaming experience. Responsibilities include serving beverages, assisting slot guests, handling jackpots, and maintaining cleanliness across the slot floor.

The role requires independence and teamwork, physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and availability on weekends and holidays. English communication is essential, with tips supplementing $12/hour base pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, hospitality or beverage service preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift, handle and carry (e.g., trays and equipment) a minimum of 25 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests on the casino floor and promote positive guest relations.
• Take guest beverage orders, place orders with the bartender and deliver promptly.
• Sell change/break bills for slot players.
• Respond to jackpots for payment and celebrate guests' wins.
• Maintain slot machine cleanliness and station organization.
• Know slot games, beverage menus, promotions, and company offerings.
• Promote the players club features and assist in slot promotions.
• Identify non-working machines and notify leadership.
• Stock the station and perform opening duties; ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Provide feedback to leads and managers about guest reactions and safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
