Job summary

Vanderbilt University in Nashville seeks a Production Services Technician-General Tech (Flex) to deliver high-level AV support for events across campus. The role is a flex position with 25-30 hours during peak weeks and 0-10 hours in slow weeks, not eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining AV equipment, attending pre-production meetings, collaborating with student groups and departments, and ensuring safe rigging and power distribution for a variety of events.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related AV production experience.
• 3+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite is necessary.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at height.
• Willingness to work long hours, nights or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide AV support for Vanderbilt events and campus programs.
• Attend pre-production meetings and review audio/lighting cues and scripts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and assist with rigging and power distribution.
• Coordinate with departments and student groups to meet production needs.
